Master thesis on the Neural Engineering Framework

The Group of Cognitive Neuromorphic Systems proposes a master thesis project for a master student of one of the following disciplines: computer science, physics, or electrical engineering. The project focusses on the Neural Engineering Framework (NEF), which provides a formalism to  program neuromorphic devices that are based on massively parallel network of spiking neurons to implement arbitrary computation.  Specifically, the student will implement basic NEF building blocks such as oscillators and integrators on the already tested neuromorphic hardware in the NCS group. Building block behaviour will be optimized and the blocks used to construct complex processing systems.
