Events organised as part of the EvoSpike project

NCEI 2012 (Neuro Computing and Evolving Intelligence) Workshop

This Workshop was held on June 8, 2012 in Auckland, New Zealand. It was co-sponsored by the EU FP7 Marie Curie EvoSpike project, Auckland University of Technology, the New Zealand Ministry of Science and Innovation and the NZ Ministry of Education. It was chaired by Nik Kasabov and included 3 sessions and a panel discussion. A plenary talk on ‘Neuromorphic computation’ was given by Giacomo Indiveri. Other invited speakers were: P.Angleov – the UK; Ganesh Kumar and Don Wunsch – USA; J.Chan – Thailand; Sue Worner and M.Sagar – NZ. There were 25 posters presented as well. The full program is published on: Before and during the NCEI Workshop, members of the host organisation – KEDRI (Knowledge Engineering and Discovery Research Institute) met with Giacomo Indiveri to discuss future collaborative work between KEDRI and INI on the EvoSpike project. Participants in the meetings were: N.Kasabov, A.Mohemmed, K.Dhoble, H.Nuzlu, N.Nuntalid, N.Scott, S.Schliebs.
